Pulsar Highly Commended at Lux Awards
Intercontinental Hotel – O2 Arena – London
On the 16th November, we attended the Lux Awards at the stunning Intercontinental hotel, at the O2 Arena, London. Having been nominated for our work at Elgin Bridge in Scotland, we are honoured to have been ‘highly commended’ by the panel of judges at this year’s Lux Awards. The awards ceremony brought together lighting designers, manufacturers and intermediaries from across the UK, celebrating the best products and projects from across the United Kingdom.
With the bridge having been a target of vandalism, Pulsar worked with the local authorities and installers to make the installation at Elgin Bridge a success. Key to the success was the recycling of damaged luminaires and repainted vandalised housings, using extra tough materials. This made the project a perfect fit for the ‘recycling’ category of the Lux Awards. Click here to read more about the project.
We were bowled over by the sheer quality of all the award winners and entries. It goes to show that the lighting industry in the UK is really thriving, and embracing the latest technologies emerging in our industry.
Everyone at Pulsar would like to send a special thanks to Lux Magazine, and to all the judges and presenters. It was great to catch up with so many people at the event and we can’t wait until next time… Hopefully we’ll be in the running for some more awards!
